This beautiful oil painting depicts a tranquil garden with an ancient stone fountain at its center, in an intimate courtyard where blooming flowers, floating lotus blossoms, hidden Koi fish, a bluebird, and a frog reside. A stone statue of an angel stands in dappled sunlight against the back wall, while on the other side of an ancient blue door that is overgrown with vines, one catches a glimpse of a church steeple rising into the clouds from the peaceful village of Ajijic below.
